INTRODUCTION:
Well folks, it's the start of the new season and there's quite a bit of news.
There has been a lot of work done in the Centre over the winter, what with re-decorating,
servicing the compressor etc. and the Centre is now open for business.

LISA & DAVE BACK FROM
SRILANKA:
Some of you will already know, but for those that are not yet aware; Lisa &
Dave have now returned from SriLanka and will be running the Dive Centre this
year. Many thanks to Rob for doing a sterling job of running the Centre last
year. I'm sure everyone will join us in thanking him and wishing him well in
his new endeavours. A big welcome back to Lisa & Dave and good luck for
the new season.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE:
This year sees the end of PADI Medic First Aid (MFA), which has been replaced
by Emergency First Response (EFR). (Don't you just love these 3 letter acronyms?).
In view of the fact that PADI will no longer be offering the MFA certification,
the Centre held courses over last weekend for the Instructors to cross-over
to the new EFR system under the expert guidance of Rob Scammell, PADI Course
Director & Examiner. Prices for the new EFR courses will be available shortly.

NEW STAFF INSTRUCTORS:
Whilst Rob was here, he also conducted a Staff Instructor Upgrade for Lisa,
Dave & Steve who are now able to conduct the full range of PADI courses
right up to Assistant Instructor. Also, the Centre is upgrading to a 5 Star
IDC Centre, which means in addition to being able to offer Assistant Instructor
training, we will also be conducting full IDC Instructor training in conjunction
with Rob Scammell. Full details & prices will be available shortly.
